The platform connects merchants and riders through a mobile app, allowing them to create and accept delivery orders in real-time. By using MilkRun, merchants can reduce their delivery time and cost, improve their customer and keep track of the delivery process.
Riders can earn more income by delivering multiple orders at once, optimize their routes using the app’s navigation system, track their payments easily, and be able to use various types vehicles to deliver.
My role as the UI/UX designer was to create interfaces for both the merchant app and the rider app, as well as to develop a visual style for the illustrations. MilkRun team had a clear direction and product flow for their MVP, so their sketches were then transformed into intuitive wireframes. The visual design of the apps were also refined with high-fidelity mockups and 2D illustrations. Interactive prototypes were built in InVision with animations and transitions to showcase the interactivity.
Merchants can book a driver for their orders by entering the pickup and drop-off locations, selecting or pre-schedule the delivery time, and choosing the vehicle type. They can also specify any special instructions or preferences for the delivery.
Merchants and riders can track the status of their orders in real-time through the app. They can see the location of the driver, the estimated arrival time, and any updates or notifications. They can also contact each other through phone in case of any issues or queries.
Merchants and riders can easily manage their payments through the app. Merchants can pay for the delivery service using various methods such as credit card, PayPal, or cash on delivery. Riders can receive their payments directly to their bank account or wallet, and also view their transaction history and earnings reports.
